"Your Voice Matters: Celebrating EVERY Reader's Story"
Click here for the NCRA presentation on the 2023 Young Authors Project. The theme for the Young Authors’ Project is Your Voice Matters: Celebrating Every Reader's Story. Participants are asked to write about the things that make you, YOU! This theme can be interpreted and expressed in a variety of ways and can include the following ideas and perspectives:
- Tell the story of where you/your family comes from.
- Tell the story of how you got your name.
- What do you value most?
- What makes you different from others your age?
- What are the positive and negative aspects of using your voice via social media?
- Write a letter to a living or historic person whose voice has had an impact on your and/or the world?
- What is your best memory?
- Tell the story of a family tradition.
